Effects of arsenic exposure on lipid metabolism and its mechanism: a review

摘要 砷作为一种类金属元素,广泛存在于自然界之中。由于砷污染而导致的健康问题目前已成为世界范围内一个严重的公共卫生问题。长期慢性砷暴露与机体疾病的发生关系密切,其中包括多组织器官的肿瘤、糖尿病、心血管疾病等。研究表明动脉粥样硬化是心血管疾病发生的病理基础,而脂代谢与动脉粥样硬化斑块的形成密切相关。迄今为止,关于砷暴露对脂代谢相关指标影响的报道较少,且研究结果间存在不一致性。 Arsenic, as a metalloid element, widely exists in nature. The health problem caused by arsenic pollution has become a serious public health problem in the world. Chronic arsenic exposure has a close relationship with the occur- rence of some diseases,including tumor, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and other diseases. Atherosclerosis is the patho- logical basis of cardiovascular diseases, and lipid metabolism is closely related to the formation of atherosclerotic plaque. But so far,there are a few reports about the effects of arsenic exposure on lipid metabolism,and there is no con- sistency between the results of the study. In this paper, the effects of arsenic exposure on lipid metabolism and mechanism are reviewed.
