This paper introduces main technical content of safety appraisal of the project, including on-site inspections, engineering quality assessment, operation and management of a dam with, flood control standard of review, structural safety, stability analysis evaluation, seepage safety evaluation, seismic safety review, metal structure safety assessment and comprehensive evaluation of dam safety, and pointed out the problems existed in engineering and reinforcement of the project to the opinions and suggestions.
