Among the archetypalimages of Dostoevsky's works,female characters make a culture-loaded group.They can be viewed as examples of Frye's'archetype of bride medium'.They are degenerate,yet not evil.In fact they are quite ready to show their sympathy,which makes the salvation of themselves and others possible.
