Study on Zhangzhou's Integration into Building the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road

国家大力推进"海丝"建设,为漳州带来重要发展机遇。融入"海丝"建设,有利于漳州拓展对外经贸合作、建设海洋经济强市及提升城市文化内涵。漳州作为古代海上丝绸之路的重要起点,有基础、有优势、有条件在"海丝"建设中有所作为。应着力将体制机制创新贯穿于构建开放型经济新体制中,在互联互通、经贸合作、人文交流等领域先行先试,建设"海丝"先行示范区。

Nowadays, China is vigorously promoting the building of the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road, which brings important opportunities for the development of Zhangzhou. Zhangzhou will benefit a lot from integrating into building the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road, including expanding foreign trade and economic cooperation, developing marine economy as also as enhancing cultural connotation of the city. As an important point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road, Zhangzhou has the foundation, advantages and conditions to make a difference. Zhangzhou should strive to carry out institutional innovation throughout building a new open economic system, also focus on early and pilot implementation in the fields of facilities connectivity, economic cooperation and cultural exchanges, making itself first demonstration area.
