On the Symbolic Ecology and Natural Ecology of Language

摘要语言生态的相关研究可以归为语言的符号生态和语言的自然生态两大传统。相关成果与传统形式语言学相比,在研究重点上更胜一筹。生态语言学家需要超越传统生态语言学作为语言学分支的理念束缚,致力于建立统一的生态语言科学;更需要超越传统文化二元论,秉承自然化的语言观。这样生态语言学才有可能成为连接人文学科和自然学科的重要纽带。 The literature review of the ecology of language can be conceptualized as the traditions of a symbolic ecology and a natural ecology, which are described and discussed in detail. These achievements in ecolinguisties have outweighed those in formal linguistics in terms of the linguistic research focuses. The current eeolinguists should go beyond traditional formal linguistics as well as cultural dichotomy and hold the naturalized language view. Then ecolinguistics will be likely to serve as a significant bridge between humanities and natural science.
