The Use of Fuzzy Words in the Official Documents in Administration

公文是一种典型的正式文体,其对语言的要求是简洁明了、严密准确,但是,一些模糊词语却经常出现在公文中。模糊词语在行政公文中有的表程度、有的表范围、有的表时间、有的表数量等等。分析表明,模糊词语的恰当使用,能够提高行政公文语言表达的准确性和概括性,能够增强语言表达的灵活性,使表意委婉含蓄。

A document is a typical kind of formal style and its requirement of language is simple and accurate,however,some fuzzy words often appear in the document. Fuzzy words in the administrative documents with the meaning of degree,scope,time,quantity and so on. From the analysis,we know that the appropriate application of the fuzzy words can improve the accuracy and generality of language expression in official documents and even it can strengthen the flexibility of language expression,and make the meaning euphemistic and implicit.
