中国的民歌与乡土社会有千丝万缕的密切关系,具有"传载、抒表、传讯、趋美"等功能。民歌以声音的表现为主,有很强的文化二义性,这种二义性恰恰是表现了本土人与国民国家都要利用的社会诗性,为他们提供了一个共存的弹性空间。

There is a close relationship between the folk songs and the earth bound society in China,bearing functions of load transfer, expression, dissemination of information and beauty aspiration etc. Folksongs are mainly presented through voice and thus possess powerful cultural duplicity, which rightly representsthe social poetic quality that both the local residents and the nation-state need to take advantage of.A flexible space of co-existence is thus provided with for both of them.
