摘要
1995年,韦努蒂首次提出"归化"与"异化"这两个翻译术语,并表示他的异化观源自施莱尔马赫的文章"论翻译的不同方法",两者的异化翻译观既有联系又有区别。相同之处:两者皆存在政治化倾向、目标读者皆为精英读者群、翻译观脱离文学实际;不同之处:政治目的、术语使用不同。
In 1995,Laurence Venuti put forward two types of translating strategy： domestication and foreignization for the first time. Their roots are traced back by Venuti to Schleiermacher and his essay ＂On the different methods of translating＂. This paper offers a comparative study of Schleiermacher and Venuti’s conception of foreignizing translation. The comparison shows that their view points resemble in some aspects and differ in others. They resemble in political orientation,targeting an elite readership and unpractical conception of translating; and differ in political aim and terminology use.
