Astrology and Eastern Han Politics——A Case Study on Chen Fan and Dou Wu'

陈蕃窦武谋诛宦官体现出星占与汉代政治的密切关系。传世文献表明,汉重日食,汉代儒家学说特别是纬书掺杂着不少星占话语。汉代出土文献揭示出汉代星占知识的原始面貌,还揭示出星占信仰在汉代的普及与深入。汉代救蚀仪式、汉代天文仪器、天文观测建筑以及星象图体现出官方与民间共享着天人感应的灾祥观念。传世文献、出土文献、仪式以及物象四重证据交织呈现出汉代星占文化图景。

Chen Fan and Dou Wu＇s plot of killing eunuchs shows that astrology and politics in Han Dy- nasty has close relation. Extant document reveal that Han Dynasty take solar eclipse seriously. Confucians ~ doctrine in Han Dynasty contains much astrological knowledge. Unearthed document in Han Dynasty re- veals original appearance of astrological knowledge in Han Dynasty. Unearthed document also reveals as- trological belie{ is popular in the society of Han Dynasty. Ritual of solar eclipse, astronomical instru- ments, astronomical observational buildings and star charts in Han Dynasty reveal that the official and the folk society share common belief of interaction of man and universe. Four--layered evidence weaves a map of astrological culture in Han Dynasty.
