Curriculum system is one of the main carriers in the process of local applied high-level university construction. Modem algebra, as a basic professional course of applied mathematics, plays an important role in the formation of professional quality of the mathematics majors. In order to meet the teaching requirements of the new local applied high-level universities, the paper explores a new teaching practice that can meet the requirements of the course--meeting social needs and cultivating professional quality, and can help achieve the training goal. And the new teaching model has been proved to help realize the goal of training students＇ professional quality.
