The working principle, flow and material sources of spent acid and waste water treatment device in 1 600 kt/a sulphuric acid plant are introduced. The equipment and facilities, operation conditions, consumption of raw and auxiliary material experiences in operation and process control are discussed in detail. The system has been in operation for more than 1 year. The operation parameters were stable and met the design specification through continuous technical development, adjustment and optimization of process control.
