The background of application of SOXscrubber system on vessels was briefly introduced in this paper.Comparison of three main ways to meet the requirement of SOXemissions in ECA were also given,as well as their respective advantages and disadvantages.The determinant of application was explained by the economical analysis and how to select the system was also put forward by comparing different practical application.The problems of application of SOXscrubber system on vessels and their solutions were illuminated.
