The classical Chinese poetry image description, artistic conception generated often cannot leave the description of time and space. As outstanding late Tang Dynasty poet Li Shangyin was especially good at using the artistic method of mingling space with time. Li Shangyin＇s poems are of much sorrowful time aesthetic image features and profound space aesthetic characteristics, it makes poetry that begets with the combining of illusion and reality, which is riches in profound and broad meanings. Basing on the concepts of space-time, this paper analyzes the aesthetic images of time and space in Li Shangyin＇s poetry and its origins and expressions. Further more, the paper will discuss the enchantment of the spatiotemporal skill from his poetry.
