The principle, conventional formulation and additives of pearl nickel （also called satin nickel） electroplating were described. The causes and remedies for some common problems were presented. The characteristics and usage of ZS impurity removing agent for pearl nickel, a product of Dudeyi Plating Chemicals Trading Company were introduced.
