摘要
简要介绍了海底光缆(海缆)故障的主要原因及φ-OTDR检测技术的工作原理与定位原理。提出了基于φ-OTDR技术的海缆扰动监测系统,其利用已有的海缆加载分布式传感器技术,即将海缆中已有的光纤作为传感单元,实时监测海缆上的扰动情况。对基于φ-OTDR技术的海缆扰动监测系统进行了相关试验验证,试验结果表明该系统可对船只落锚振动和挂缆拖拽所引起的海缆扰动进行预警和定位,使海缆免遭破坏。该系统对维护和保障海缆通信系统的安全有极其重要的战略意义。
The main causes of submarine optical cable faults and the operation location principle ofφ-OTDR technology are introduced.A submarine optical cable disturbance monitoring system based onφ-OTDR technology is proposed.The system employs the existing submarine cable loaded distributed sensor technology,i.e.using optical fiber in the submarine optical cable as a sensing unit to monitor submarine optical cable's disturbance in real time.The system has been tested and verified.The experimental results show that the system can warn and locate the submarine optical cable disturbance caused by drop-anchor vibration and hook-cable drag to avoid the cable from damage.The system has extremely important strategic significance in maintaining and protecting the safety of submarine communication system.
