“温故而知新”管窥

A Survey of “Consider”Chapter

《论语》"温故而知新"一章前人多认为是孔子对为人师所提出的要求和期许,此说虽然有其道理,但若剖析微言,似乎又力有未逮。孔子身处"礼崩乐坏"之世,其时王纲解纽,天下大乱,孔子志在"拨乱反正",编订六艺经籍,寓一王新法。孔子深具"王心","温故而知新"略可窥见。本文试图通过对"温故而知新"一章的义理探究,借以考察孔子与五经六艺之间的关系,从而凸出孔子"素王改制"这一立法行为。

The chapter of ＂Consider＂ in The Analects of Confucius is often regarded as Confucius＇ demands and expectations on teachers, which is reasonable but also debatable if analyzed in detail. Confucius lived in an era with collapsed system of rites and music, laws invalid and state in tumult, and Confucius expected to restore the order of the state by compiling the classics. So we can see Confucius＇ intention through studying the chapter of ＂Consider＂. In order to explore the relationship between Confucius and the five classics and highlight his re- form, this article attempts to analyze the principles of the chapter of ＂Consider＂.
