Automotive Lithium-ion Battery Performance Research at Low Temperature

摘要 通过低温放电实验得出低温下锂离子电池放电容量减小、放电平台电压下降、大倍率放电性能恶化,但低温放电不会对电池造成永久性损伤;通过低温充电实验得知低温充电电压高、恒流充电阶段所占比例变小,充电缓慢,充电容量大幅衰减,同时低温充电易产生析锂而对锂离子电池的容量和阻抗造成不可恢复性严重损伤。因此电动车使用过程中低温放电可以允许,低温充电严禁进行。 The low temperature discharge experiment at low temperature showed that the discharge capacity and the discharge platform voltage went down, and the large current discharge performance became very poor. But the low temperature discharge did not cause permanent damage to the battery. The low temperature charging experiment showed that the charging voltage at low temperature become higher, the constant current charging phase is shorter, the charging time is longer, and the charging capacity is smaller. The lithium ion battery charging at low temperature could cause permanent damage to the battery. So, in the process of using electric vehicles, discharging at low temper- ature is allowed, and charging at low temperature is strictly prohibited.
