With the development of network technology,individuals who step into the age of Big Data are able to get all kinds of information and data at anytime and anywhere. As a social cultural and intellectual center,the position of libraries is increasingly under challenges. This paper analyzed the necessity of the library in the age of Big Data from various perspectives based on the illustration of library value. It hopes development of the library can keep pace with the times and adapt to the progress of the new age.
