To expand the variety of the cold rolling products and improve the productivity,an optimal set up computing method (rule free rolling) is developed instead of the original rule based preset computing.The technique has been applied at Cold Rolling Plant in Baosteel since May,2000.The results show that the new technique can completely meet the demands of the production,and the productivity can averagely be increased by 8%.
