The introductions have been given to the latest foreign drilling equipment and technologies———new type drilling rig （ Aecher modular rig, modular offshore drilling rig, fast-moving rig and Ideal rig） , new drill bit （ two stage dual diameter PDC bit, new hybrid drill bit, Kymera^TM drill bit with dual-chamfer PDC cutter, Pexus^TM hybrid bit, IRev^TM impregnated bit and StayCool multidimensional cutter） , new MWD / LWD and wire-less telemetry system （ XBATSM sonic and ultrasonic LWD, high temperature and high pressure dual accelerometer MWD, new LWD integrated with azimuthal gamma, DigiScope continuous wave mud pulse telemetry system and Twin dual-mode electromagnetic telemetry system ） , new downhole vibration measurement tools （ downhole vibra-tion MWD system and high-frequency drilling dynamics measurement tool） . Finally, the drilling equipment and technology gap between China and foreign countries have been presented. Our country should grasp the development trend of the worldˊs drilling equipment and technology, adjust and optimize the development direction of the current drilling equipment and technology, and further expand the international market.
