Research Progress of the Signal Pathway of Bone Morphogenetic Protein in the Regeneration

摘要 再生是指生物体可以重新生长出损伤的组织和器官的生物学过程。对再生的研究过去主要集中于形态学观察及描述等方面,随着现代生物学的快速发展,对再生的分子机制有了更多的研究,发现多种信号通路参与了再生过程,如FGF信号通路、BMP信号通路、HEDGEHOG信号通路等。研究发现,BMP为转化生长因子β(TGF-β)家族的重要成员,BMP信号通路可以调节细胞的增殖和分化,在胚胎发育过程中具有重要的调控作用。但是目前对于BMP在再生过程中的作用研究相对较少,本文对BMP信号通路在几种模式生物再生过程中的作用进行了综合分析,以期为进一步研究BMP信号通路在再生中的作用提供理论借鉴。 Regeneration is a process in which some organisms can restore the lost tissues or organs by re-growth. The studies about regeneration in the past mainly focused on the morphological observation and description. With development of modern biological knowledge and techniques, many more studies about the molecular mechanisms of regeneration have been done and several signaling pathways such as FGF signaling pathways, BMP signaling pathways, and HEDGEHOG signaling pathways have been found involved in the regeneration process. It has been revealed that BMP(Bone morphogenetic protein), an important member of transforming growth factors β family, can take part in cell proliferation, cell differentiation and embryo development. However, the studies on its roles in regeneration are relative limited. In this paper, the BMP signal pathway and its roles in regeneration in several model animals were outlined.This paper is attempted to provide an insight into study of roles of BMP signaling pathway in regeneration.
