Influence of West Route of South- to- North Water Transfer Project on Sichuan Shipping Industry

南水北调西线工程实施后将使雅砻江、大渡河、金沙江下游水量减少,对四川省航运业造成不利影响。主要影响河段包括长江干线水富—泸州段、岷江的乐山—宜宾段等共计1 560 km航道,航道减水幅度大致为3%~8%,对四川省航运业增加值的经济损失约为每年0.9亿~2亿元。

The implementation of West Route of South-to-North Water Transfer Project will decrease downstream water of the Yalong River, the Dadu River and the Jinsha River, thus making adverse impact on the shipping industry in Sichuan Province. It mainly affects river sections of 1 560 km, including Shuifu-Luzhou section of the Yangtze River and Leshan-Yibin section of the Minjiang River. The channel water reduces 3% - 8%, and the economic loss is about 90 million -200 million each year.
