Research on Planning of Foreign Language Education in Henan Province from the Perspective of the Belt and Road Initiative

"一带一路"的建设离不开语言的保障和支持。在"一带一路"的战略背景下,河南省面临着巨大的外语人才需求、外语服务需求和语言文化融通需求。"一带一路"的外语人才需求有着显著的特点:需求量巨大、语种多样化。这些需求必须通过高校外语教育合理规划来实现。河南省政府、教育部门、相关高校应共同努力,制定关键语种政策,改善语种结构,优化外语教育课程设置。

Foreign language education is beyond doubt crucial to the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative. Henan is confronting increased demand for foreign language talents who can serve among diversified cuhures at present. This leads to the fact that college education of foreign languages should be programmed to meet the demand. Therefore efforts should be made to formulate the policy of key languages, optimize the classification of languages and improve language teaching program under the collaboration among Henan Provincial Government, Education Department and relevant colleges.
