摘要
专门用途英语(ESP)是我国大学英语教学和国际大学接轨的必由之路,但由于ESP对于教师和学生有着更高的知能结构要求,大学英语改革的步伐仍然比较缓慢。通过建设校本的基于项目的师生学术共同体、基于企业和专业教师及ESP教师的教师学术共同体、教师发展学术共同体,可以凝聚执着于学术的师生,促进跨学科的交流,推进以学术为中心的制度建设,从而可以更好地促进ESP教学。
English for specific purpose (ESP) is an inevitable course for college English education if we want to be in line with international universities. But ESP demands higher level of knowledge and skills for both teachers and students; however, the pace of college English reform is rather slow. Constructing school and project-based academic community of teachers and students, enterprise-based academic community of professional and ESP teachers as well as academic community of faculty will gather teachers and students who are persistent in academic scholarship, promote interdisciplinary communication and advance the construction of academic-oriented institution, which will promote ESP teaching and learning.
