In order to make a clear distinction on clause types led by Russian conjunction or relative conjunction когда,the author summarizes their grammatical and structural features through a comparative case analysis on subordinate compounds involving time clauses,attributive clauses,expository clauses,concessional clauses and conditional clauses led by когда,so that a solid theoretical foundation can be laid to employ more appropriate subordinate compounds led by когда in communication.
