功能目的论视角下的公示语翻译——以南京市主要旅游景点为例

On the Translation of Public Signs in the View of Skopos Theory——Taking the Cases in Nanjing Scenic Spots as an Example

本文以功能目的论为视角,探讨南京市主要旅游景区的公示语英译情况。功能目的论强调"功能对等",对公示语翻译具有良好的指导意义,它包涵三大原则,即目的原则、连贯原则和忠诚原则。笔者根据功能目的论下的翻译原则,结合南京市主要旅游景区的公示语英译实例,对其存在的问题进行归纳分析,并提出适当修改建议。

This paper analyzes the C-E translations in Nanjing scenic areas under the guidance of Skopos theory. The Skopos theory, which includes the Skopos rule, coherence rule and fidelity rule, emphasizes the ＂functional equivalence＂in translation and is of guiding significance for public signs translation. Therefore, the author analyzes and classifies the translation cases in Nanjing scenic areas according to Skopos theory and provides suggestions for modification.
