“证、症、征”的常见医学术语辨析及英译研究

Analysis on the Translation of Common Medical Terms Involving Syndrome,Symptom and Sign

首先对"证、症、征"的发音以及字的中文含义和英文翻译进行详细辨别,并列举出有关"证、症、征"的诸多医学术语,然后对容易混淆的医学术语进行成组辨析,并给定常见标准英文翻译;通过对这些医学术语的概念辨析和适用范围的确定,并将这些医学术语归类为中医特有术语、西医特有术语和中西医共有术语三类;最后总结"证、症、征"与其相关术语间的区别与联系。

To differentiate the three medical terms： syndrome,symptom and sign,the Chinese meanings and English translation of them were analyzed,and several common related medical phrases of them were listed for further discussion.Then a few confusing medical phrases were distinguished by pairs,and their English translations were provided. According to their application,all the listed medical phrases were classified into exclusive TCM terms,exclusive Western medical terms and mutual medical terms. At last,the three medical terms and their medical phrases were concluded in a diagram in order to show their differences and relations.
