顺应理论视阈中法律文本翻译过程的呈现效度

The Application of Adaptation Theory in Legal Text Translation

顺应理论认为,语言的使用即是语言的选择过程,而语言的选择是指从语境、语言结构等方面,动态地根据不同的意识程度做出顺应。本文认为在顺应理论框架下,英汉法律文本的翻译须动态地顺应源语法律文本和目标语法律文本的语境、法律文化和语言特征,以实现英汉法律之间的有效交际。

According to adaptation theory, language use is a continuous process of making linguistic choices, which means a- dapting to the context and the structure of language with different degrees of salience dynamically. This paper holds that in the translation process of English and Chinese legal text, the choice of target language should dynamically adapt to the context, le- gal culture and language characteristics both of the source language and target language within the framework of the adaptation theory, hence to realize the effective communication between legal English and legal Chinese.
