The USA vision for 2020 joint integrated air and missile defense （IAMD） is analyzed. The IAMD related strategic and threat environments are unscrambled,around the core of the intent for IAMD vision. Six key imperatives for joint IAMD vision are encapsulated. The whole status of IAMD is clearly described.
