Frog,one of Mo Yan＇s novels,shapes a legendary life experience with many ups and downs for the character Gugu from a unique perspective. She was considered as the living Buddha by using the scientific means of midwifery after returning to her hometown,Dongbei Town,Gaomi County when she was young,and was cursed as the living King of Hell as she implementing the family plan policy with some extreme measures in her middle age,and when she was old,she was tortured by her own morality owing to her self- awakening. Gugu experienced a legendary and tragic life with radical ups and downs,great kindness and wickedness. Form this character,Mo ＇s purpose is not to make comments on the contribution or the fault of the family plan policy,but to interpret the dissimilation of ethic,morality and laws to human nature.
