The film The Assassin is the new work in 2015 of Hou Hsia-hsien, who is a famous director in Taiwan. Hou achieved The Best Director in the 68th Cannes Film Festival by The Assassin. The Assassin has higher artistic quality and aesthetic standard. This film suc- ceeds Hou's poetic style in his creations. Hon wielded a lot of full-length shots, scenery shots and an allusion called Qingluan Dance in this film. By these ways, this film presents calm, implicit and profound aesthetic effect, and then, The Assassin reflects the poetic feeling and the oriental aesthetic style in Hou Hsia-hsien's film creations.
