系统功能语言学视角下的诗歌翻译质量评估——以《西风颂》为例

A Systemic-Functional Linguistic Perspective of Poetry Translation Quality Assessment:Taking Ode to the West Windas an Example

诗歌翻译质量的评估问题一直是诗歌翻译研究的一大热点。文章利用司显柱的系统功能语言学视角的翻译质量评估模式,对江枫的《西风颂》中译本进行翻译质量评估。首先分析原诗的语域和韵律,然后分析江枫译本中对原诗概念意义和人际意义的偏离,最后对译本的翻译质量进行了整体的评价。结果显示,江枫译本总体上很接近于原文,很多在概念意义和人际意义上的偏离属于"+偏离",是诗歌翻译的典范。研究结果不仅检验了这一模式的可操作性,也对江枫的《西风颂》中译本作出了客观的评价。

The study of poetry translation quality assessment has always been the hot topic in the field of poetry translation. On the basis of Si Xianzhu＇s translation quality assessment model in the light of Systemic-Functional Linguistics, this paper assesses the translation quality of Jiang Feng＇s Chinese version of Ode to the West Wind. The paper first analyzes the register and rhyme of Ode to the West Wind, and then finds out the deviation of the ideational and interpersonal meanings in the translated poem. Finally, the overall translation quality assessment of Jiang＇s translation is given. The results show that Jiang＇s Chinese version is relatively close to the poem, and the deviation of ideational and in- terpersonal meanings belongs to positive deviation（＂＋deviation＂）, thus J iang＇s version is the paragon of the translations. The study not only verifies the feasibility of Si＇s model but also gives an objective assessment to Jiang＇s Chinese version of Ode to the West Wind.
