Chain Directors and Enterprise Vertical Integration

从关系嵌入及结构嵌入视角着手,运用BP神经网络仿真模型分析连锁董事战略介入对企业纵向一体化程度的影响;借鉴社会网络分析和图论,通过选取连锁董事比例衡量企业内部资源数量,以程度中心度、中介中心度和特征向量中心度描绘企业外部关系网络特征。结果表明:关系嵌入程度越高,连锁董事所具有的异质性资源在企业纵向一体化战略抉择时越能发挥积极作用;结构嵌入程度高的企业在市场交易过程中倾向于与其它企业签订契约外包生产活动,提高企业内部运作效率,从而降低了纵向一体化程度。

The paper used the BP neural network to analyze the influence of chain director＇s strategic involvement on the level of vertical integration from the perspective of relationship and structural embeddedness. Based on social network analysis and graph theory,interlocking directorates proportion was taken as the proxy of the quantity of enterprise internal resources,degree centrality,betweenness centrality and eigenvector centrality were employed to capture the features of enterprise external network. The results show that the higher degree of the relational embeddedness,the heterogeneous resources of interlocking directorates can play a more active role in the enterprise vertical integration strategic choice; the corporate whose degree of structure embeddedness is higher,it can more tend to contract with other companies of outsourcing production activities in the market transaction process to improve internal operational efficiency and then decrease the degree of vertical integration.
