计荣森(1907—1942)是民国时期一位重要的古生物学家,虽英年早逝,却著述颇丰。关于其生平,向来所知不详。近来发现其生前所编纂的《计荣森字晓清自编年谱未定稿》,较为详细地记述其生平及学术活动,是一份珍贵的史料。本文首次整理发表该年谱,并对其成稿时间与背景、流传情况及史料价值做简要考析。

Despite his short life,Y.S.Chi（1907—1942）was an eminent and prolific paleontologist.His unpublished autobiography,finished in 1942 when he was in hospital shortly before his untimely death,briefly recorded his life history and particularly his academic activities.It was fortuitously rediscovered by the author in 2015 and is published here for the first time.Additional discussions on its finishing time,distribution while in manuscript form and historical significance are provided to place this document in context with events unfolding in China during and following the lifetime of Y.S.Chi.
