The Wall-Painting of Seven Suns Lighting the Sumeru in Kizil Grottoes

本文分析了克孜尔第207窟一幅主题不明的壁画。经过图像与佛经文本的比对,可以确认壁画内容为佛陀为比丘讲述七日经—世界燃烧毁灭。

This paper study a narrative wall-paintings located in Kizil Grottoes No.207. After compared the pictures with the relative context in sutras, I believed that it represents the scene of Seven Suns Lighting the Sumeru as Buddha telling the monks.
