Imbalance and Adaptation: On the Development of China's Traditional Ethnic Sports Culture

在现代社会的飞速发展过程中,我国民族传统体育发展已经跟不上社会骤变的节奏,出现文化生态失衡现象。具体表现为,民族传统体育成为逐利者的工具;民族传统体育意义逐渐匮乏;体育成为奢华生活攀比的手段;民族传统体育重物质轻文化;民族传统体育的"西式化"。民族传统体育文化生态失衡的原因有文化冲突的问题,也有管理者主观选择的问题。要做到民族传统体育的文化适应,可以通过融合民族传统体育的原始意义与时代意义,保存民族传统体育的核心形式,融合民族传统体育的民族性与时代性来实现。同时,在发展道路选择上,要让民族传统体育通过服务社会来实现自身的发展。

With the rapid development of contemporary society,the development of China’s traditional ethnic sports has not been able to keep up with the rhythm of sudden social changes,and their cultural and ecological imbalance has appeared accordingly. To be specific,traditional ethnic sports have become a profit-seeking tool,their significance has gradually become deficient,they have become a means to keep up with the Joneses for a life of luxury,they value physical aspects more than cultural ones,and they are being westernized. Their cultural and ecological imbalance may have resulted from cultural conflicts and their managers’ subjective choices. To achieve the cultural adaptability of traditional ethnic sports,it is necessary to merge their original significance with their contemporary significance,their ethnic features with their contemporary features,and preserve their central forms.Meanwhile,only by serving the society can traditional ethnic sports realize their own development.
