清代学者普遍注重师友之间的情谊,注重学术交流,相互磨砺,相互鼓励。张澍一生喜爱交游,虽然性格耿直,尤其在学问面前一丝不苟,但他古道热肠,为人朴实真诚,文人学者都乐于和他交往。他友人有同年、同乡,也有老师、学生,以及志趣相投的其他文人。赠答友人的作品情感真挚,语言诙谐,往往能够抓住友人最具典型的某一方面加以揄扬,歌颂友人之间的深厚情谊,反映人生悲欢离合的经历、喜怒哀乐的情感。这部分作品感情真挚、内涵丰富,不仅具有感人的艺术审美价值,而且为研究清代中期的时事及相关人物的社会活动、学术交游、创作互动等提供了重要的文献数据。

The scholars in Qing Dynasty regard friendship as important as academic communication and often ex-change their ideas and works. Zhang Shu was honest and frank, and very meticulous when it comes to learning. Buthe was also warmhearted and considerate.His works written to his friends expressed his sincere feelings with humor-ous language, which has moving aesthetic value of art and provides important documents for the relative studies.
