从偏误看选择问句中的“是”

An Analysis of “Shi” from Errors in Replies to Alternative Questions

文章试图从对外汉语教学过程中外国学生对选择问句"你是中国人,还是韩国人?/你是喝汽水,还是喝咖啡?"等的应答情况入手,讨论在汉语教学中将"是……还是……"作为选择问句的基本形式进行教学是否合适。文章通过成分删除、添加等分析方法,联系选择问句的预设问题,并借鉴以往对"是"的研究成果,认为"是"虽然常常出现在选择问句中,但是其主要作用不是作关联词语。"是"与"还是"并不在一个层面上。当通过形式手段将选择问句的关系外显时,主要依靠的是"还是"。因此在教学之初将"……还是……"作为选择问句的基本形式似乎更为合理。

This paper tries to analyze the appropriateness of the pattern ＂shi…haishi…＂as a basic form of alternative questions like ＂Are you Chinese or Korean？ ＂and ＂Would you like soda water or coffee？ ＂asked by foreign learners of Chinese in the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. By referring to presupposed points of alternative questions via the analytical method of composition deletion and addition as well as based on previous studies on ＂shi＂,this paper proposes that although it often appears in alternative questions,＂shi＂should not be regarded as a conjunction. Actually,＂shi＂and ＂haishi＂are not on the same level. When the relationship of option between items needs to be expressed explicitly,＂haishi＂plays a more important part than ＂shi＂. Therefore,it is more reasonable to regard ＂…haishi...＂as a basic form of alternative questions at the beginning of Chinese teaching.
