On the Direction of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the Long Run

中国特色社会主义说到底是社会主义,习近平在2013年的"一五"讲话中指出:"中国特色社会主义是社会主义而不是其他什么主义,科学社会主义基本原则不能丢,丢了就不是社会主义。"所以,要弄清楚中国特色社会主义的长期性及其前进方向,首先要弄清楚社会主义的长期性及其前进方向问题。同样,对中国特色社会主义的认识并不是一步到位的,而是随着实践的发展逐步清晰、不断丰富、日趋完善的,对中国特色社会主义长期性的认识离不开对社会主义初级阶段的认识,其前进的方向、最终目标是共产主义。同时,党在领导中国特色社会主义事业中要把握好最高纲领与最低纲领的关系。

Socialism with Chinese characteristics is socialism in nature. Xi Jinpingstressed in his speech on 5th Jan. 2013: 'Socialism with Chinese characteristics is nothing but socialism. Scientific socialism creeds shall never be ditched, otherwise it is not real socialism. ' Therefore, we shall firstly figure out the development of socialism and its direction if we try to streamline those of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Similarly, the recognition of socialism with Chinese characteristics could never be settled by one step. Rather, it shall gradually come clear and be enriched and improved in practices. The development of socialism with Chinese characteristics could not be deviated from the knowledge of socialism at primary stage since its direction and ultimate goal refers to communism.Meanwhile, the CPC shall keep the unity of the minimum and maximum programs in leading the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
