The Establishment of CPC in Shanghai:A Historical Study

中国共产党的成立有十月革命成功、特别是共产国际指导下共产党纷纷在诸国成立的历史背景。通过对共产国际成立后涌现的33个国家共产党的考察,可见大中城市是无产阶级政党创建的首选地。中国共产党的创始人充分利用上海作为远东第一大都会的诸多优势,在上海创建了中国共产党。参照各国共产党不同的建党模式及其对建党日的确定,中国共产党应以中共一大召开的首日为创立日。

The CPC was established against the historical background of the October Revolution(1917) andespecially the foundation of communist countries under the guidance of the Communist International. The study of emerging communist parties in 33 countries after the foundation of the Communist International manifested that medium and large-sized cities are primary locations for proletariat parties. The founding fathers of the CPC had founded the Party in Shanghai, making full use of the considerable advantages of the city as the first metropolitan in the Far East.Referring to various Communist Parties' founding modes and their confirming the founding day, the CPC shall confirm the initial date of the First Conference of the 1st CPC National Congress as its founding day.
