A Study on Application-oriented English Teaching in Universities

培养应用型人才,是当今高校发展和改革的重要工作。目前,国内的高校培养人才存在一些不足的地方,受到各种因素影响,许多高校忽视培养应用型人才。英语,作为一门语言学科,这些经济贸易的发展,英语专业成为招生与就业的热门专业。本文从应用型人才的定义和特点出发,分析探讨了以培养应用型人才为导向的高校英语教学存在的问题,并为提升英语教学水平提出改进的建议和对策。

The training of applied talents is an important work of the development and reform in colleges and universities. At present,there are some deficiencies in the training of talents in colleges and universities in China,which are affected by various factors,and many colleges and universities ignore the cultivation of applied talents. English as a language discipline,along with the development of economy and trade,English major has become a popular profession for recruitment and employment. From the definition and characteristics of applied talents,this paper analyzes and explores the problems existing in college English teaching with the orientation of training applied talents,and puts forward suggestions and countermeasures to improve the level of English teaching.
