摘要
凭借英语构词的灵活性英语词汇在数量上有很大增长，然而，其构词方法却日趋简单，这是值得注意的一个倾向。
The English vocabulary has grown much in size by virtue of its flexibility in word-formation. Efforts are made in this thesis to reveal the main trend-simplification in English word-formation.
