语类翻译探究

A Study of Translation Based on Genre

语类是系统功能语言学的一种重要理论,与语境和语域密切联系。目前,语类界定还没有完全统一,少有人将语类理论运用于翻译。本文运用系统功能语言学的语类理论,着重解决语类翻译是否更具有可操作性问题,语类翻译是否能解决具体语类的翻译要求和翻译标准问题,依据语类的同质性、特征和特点的翻译是否是语类翻译达到良好效果的最佳途径。结果表明,语类翻译比语篇类型翻译更加具有可操作性;不同语类具有不同翻译要求和标准;翻译只有充分考虑语类的同质性、特征和特点,才能真正做到与原文内容、形式、风格一致,保证翻译质量。

Genre, which has a close relationship with context and register, is an important theory in Systemic Functional Linguistics. The definitions of genre need to be integrated. So far, few researchers apply it to the field of translation. Based on the theory of genre in Systemic Functional Linguistics, this paper focuses genre translation on the problem of operability, the problem of trans- lation brief and translation criterion of a kind of genre. At the same time, the paper tries to prove the hypothesis that the under- standing of homogeneity, feature and speciality of genre in the process of translation is the best way to genre translation. The re- sult demonstrates that genre translation has more operability than text type translation, that different genres have different transla- tion brief and translation criteria, and we must pay much attention to the hornogenity, feature and speciality of genre in the process of translation so that the translated text can be consistent with content, form and style of the original text so as to improve translation quality.
