Sample Preparation Methods for Bulk Analysis of Geological Materials by Using LA-ICP-MS

摘要 LA-ICP-MS已成为原位测量全岩样品主、微量元素的重要手段。本文主要介绍LA-ICP-MS样品前处理的几种方法:粉末压片法、助熔剂熔融玻璃法以及无熔剂的熔融玻璃法,总结了国内外近30年来不断改进样品制备流程的研究成果,展望了LA-ICP-MS应用于全岩分析的发展前景。 Laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry( LA-ICP-MS) is a powerful technique for in situ measurement of major and trace elements of whole-rock samples. Three sample preparation methods,including pressed powder pellet,lithium-borate fusion glasses and flux-free fusion glasses,for LA-ICP-MS analysis have been introduced and their corresponding advantages and weaknesses have been commented in this paper. In addition,the developments for improving these three sample preparation methods over the past 30 years have been summarized and a perospective of the application of LA-ICP-MS on analyzing bulk rocks has been given in this paper.
