在课程设置的四大环节中,教材编写是实施的核心部分,对教学内容和目标的影响最为直接。本文以人文通识课"中西方文化交流史"的教材研发为例,在阐述教材对学习者学习动力具有决定性影响的基础上,探讨了教材的编写过程——从教材的编写初衷到对现有教材的评估,再到将主客观需求与设计原则理念相匹配,以及新教材的设计和校内试用。旨在使新编教材更具信度和效度地体现出课程大纲的指导原则,更方便针对不同课型灵活选用教学方法,以最大限度地实现通识课的设置目的。

Textbook development,being a crucial component of the four aspects in syllabus design,is directly related to fulfilling the course content and objectives.Based on the case study of a new textbook designed for a general liberal course,The History of Sino-Western Cultural Exchange,the paper first tries to emphasize the proper process in textbook development from the initial procedure of setting up goals to evaluating existing materials,to matching the objective and subjective needs with guiding principles and up to piloting the new textbook on campus.It then explores how the textbook has been compiled to enhance its feasibility and reliability in following the syllabus＇ guiding principles,to cater to different teaching methods for varied class sizes,and to maximize the realization of the general liberal course＇s final goal.
