摘要
针对数据中心网络利用率低、管控方式复杂和运维成本高等问题,提出一种基于向量交换的数据中心网络数据面模型(vector address data center,VADC),并对其结构和部署进行了详细说明。结合软件定义网络技术,引入一种新型源路由地址——向量地址(vector address,VA)作为数据交换标签,解决了数据中心扩展性、成本和能耗等问题。设计了通过自主研发的基于NetFPGA的低造价OpenFlow设备和商业级服务器来构建新型数据中心网络架构,新数据流建立时,无需下载流表,消耗的控制信令数量约减少72%。实验结果表明,该方案具有良好的实用性和可编程特性,为构建未来绿色数据中心网络体系架构提出了一个重要思路。
Aiming at the issues of low network utilization, complex management add high maintenance cost in data center network, a new type of data plane model named data center based on vector address (VADC) was proposed,which has a simple architecture and can be easily deployed. The scheme was used to solve the problems of scalability, cost and energy consumption by combining with the SDN technology. A self-developed and low-cost OpenFlow switch based on NetFPGA was applied combing with commercial servers in constructing the new type of data center network architecture. The amount of control signaling consumed when establishing new flows can be reduced about 72%. The experiment results showed that the scheme has good practicability and programmable features, and provides a valuable reference for the construction of green data center network.
