Some imply the sudden burst of accidents; some refer to the release of uncontrollable things or mystical being. In his poems, Yeats personified these forces with different symbols. He also develops a complicated and ambivalent attitude towards these changes and influences brought forward by such force. This paper intends to analyze how Yeats foretells the ＂the birth of terrible beauty＂ by way of mystic symbols in his poems and what about his attitude and standpoint.
