英语作为一门国际性的语言在世界的各个角落被广泛的使用着,不仅是全球几十个国家的官方语言,同时还是很多国家的第二语言,目前适用英语的人口已经达到世界总人口数量的三分之一了。大学英语不仅要传授基本知识,更要注重学生技能和情感培养。动机对英语学习有着非常重要的影响,对学生学习英语的效率有很大帮助,所以很多人越来越关注重激发学生的学习动机。文章从学习动机着手,分析影响学生动机的因素,找出激发学生动机的策略,从而提高学生学习英语的积极性。

English as an international language is being used in every corner of the world. It is not only the official language of dozens of countries throughout the world,but also the second language of numerous countries. So far,English users have reached one third of the global population. With China＇s entering the WTO and its relationship with other countries closer,English is getting more and more important. Faced with the new situation,college English should not only teach basic knowledge,bu more importantly should focus on students＇ skills and emotion cultivating / Motivation is vital to English learning,and could offer great help to learning efficiency. Therefore,many people are attaching more importance to simulating students＇ learning motivation. This article starts from students＇ learning motivation,analyzes factors that affect it,and finally finds out strategies to inspire students,so as to increase students＇ enthusiasm in English learning and prepare them with more skills for their go out into the society.
