As one of the important food crops,the plant of rice has a long history in Nanyang City. The present situation of rice production in Nanyang City was expounded ,its existing problems were analyzed from the planting area was not balanced ,the introducing speed of new varieties was slow ,and the level of rice plant was not high and so on ,in view of the problems ,the development proposals were put forward for improving the level of rice production in Nanyang City.
