Sinology: A Path to the Study of Confucianism——An Interview of Liu Meng-xi

刘梦溪早期对《红楼梦》有很深入的研究,20世纪90年代则转向文化史、学术史和近现代学术思想的研究,以独特的学术视角论说王国维、陈寅恪、马一浮等现代学术大师,并关注当代文化建构和文化批评。聚焦近百年来中国的思想学问、文化传统与历史人物,是刘梦溪学术研究的侧重点。刘梦溪提倡推行国学教育,想补充上百年来遗漏的传"道"的内容,因为他认为中国文化的最重要的价值理念都在"六经"。

Liu Meng-xi＇s early academic research is on A dream of Red Mansions. In the 1990s, he tended to focus on the research of cultural history, academic history and modem academic thought, and analyzed the contemporary academic masters such as Wang Guo-wei, Chen Yin-ke and Ma Yi-fu from the unique perspective as well as the construction of modem culture, a hundred years of Chinese thought knowledge, cultural tradition and historical figures. Liu Meng-xi advocated implementing sinology education to supplement on the omission of the ＂Tao＂ hundred years ago, since the most important value of Chinese culture is in the ＂six classics＂.
